YouthBuild USA LogoYouthBuild USA has been an intricate part of developing career programs at Eagle Eye Institute and in building the relationships between Eagle Eye and YouthBuild programs. Since 1998, YouthBuild students have participated in one-day and three-day arboriculture trainings among other stewardship projects with Eagle Eye.

YouthBuild U.S.A. is a national organization dedicated to unleash the intelligence and positive energy of low income youth to rebuild their communities and their lives.

YouthBuild U.S.A. provides 6-12 month programs for youth ages 16-24 that include:
  • Home restoration and construction
  • Education
  • Job Training
  • Leadership Development
  • Counseling
  • Graduate Support

Because of its work with Eagle Eye, YouthBuild USA has taken on the greening of YouthBuild and started a Green Building Initiative. Currently, Eagle Eye is partnered with YouthBuild sites in providing the Green Industry Career Pathway program for YouthBuild students.

  • Boston (since 2006)
  • Brockton (since 2005)
  • Cambridge (since 2006)
  • Lowell (since 2005)
  • New Bedford (since 2005)
  • Springfield (since 2005)

Due to the success of implementing the Green Industry Career Pathway program in YouthBuild sites in Brockton, Lowell, New Bedford, and Springfield in 2005, YouthBuild Boston and YouthBuild Just A Start Cambridge will be added to the YouthBuild sites served by the Green Industry Career Pathway program in the 2006-2007 program cycle.
